Before the Taking of a Toast and Tea

Glad to be of use.
Cautious, and meticulous.
At times, indeed, almost ridiculous—
Almost, at times, the Fool.

Theory/gender and sexuality studies me is kind of flailing right now.

This semester, Judith Butler is at Bryn Mawr, and I was lucky enough to attend a small-ish coffee event with her today.

As in, a bunch of people drinking delicious (and free) coffees and teas and apple cider and eating yummy (and free) snacks and HAVING CONVERSATIONS WITH/ASKING QUESTIONS OF JUDITH BUTLER.

And so these are my terrible cell phone pictures.

Overall, I found her to be a friendly, approachable, but smart as heck professorial type, who was able to talk about a wide range of issues eloquently, logically, and relevantly, and who also seemed like a lovely person.
